New V&B Tiles for 2022

New Tiles for 2022 by Villeroy & Boch: Nature – Art & Inspiration Wall and floor concepts for the new era of modern comfort

The diversity of nature has always inspired the production of extraordinary works by creative professionals and artists alike; it also helped inspire the 2022 collections by Villeroy & Boch Tiles. An innovative view of nature resulted in fascinating tile designs for private and public areas, both indoors and outdoors, that represent special approaches to sustainable concepts, design and production. Their current colours, formats and finishes make them more than simply healthy, aesthetically appealing and functional wall and floor coverings; they also characterise individual interiors and create cosy feel-good worlds in furnishing styles that range from traditional to modern classic to clear and minimalistic.

The facets of nature, captured in ceramic designs

Offered in four soft colours, LUCCA, the VilboStone porcelain stoneware concept designed with a light surface relief reminiscent of Tuscan limestone, creates an elegant and at the same time relaxed and natural atmosphere in modern living and business spaces. Inspired by painted silk, this large-format décor with a sculptural floral motif offers attractive design options – for full-surface installation, as a mural or as a ‘carpet of tiles’.

MARBLE ARCH, the expressive wall and floor concept, transmits the elegant charm of white Carrara marble to an exquisite ceramic design and combines it with an authentic look of wood: The high-quality wall and floor tiles highlight the exciting contrast of polished marble finishes and matt, wood structures to create a unique atmosphere of elegance and naturalness.

The special charm of the METALYN range can be found in an understated concrete look featuring fine, metallic shimmer effects. The new wall tiles that complement the existing floor concept are captivating for their soft colours that add an elegant flair to the interior, together with exquisite décor with a subtle cube pattern that creates three-dimensional-looking trompe l’œil effects on the wall.

Stucco Veniziano, the traditional lime plaster, was the inspiration for the SOFT COLOURS wall tile range, with a charming charisma that reflects time-honoured craftsmanship while at the same time interpreting contemporary, minimalist style in matt, slightly grey shades. The glazed nonvitreous has a visible and tactile relief – restrained in the case of the basic tiles, significantly more raised and larger in area in the case of the décor tiles, manifesting the ‘hand-made’ character even more authentically.

The colours typical for the antique structures that date back to the Roman era, and that characterise the look of the World Heritage city of the same name in south-western Spain, provided the inspiration for the harmonious design of the MERIDA concept³ range. With discreet, irregular structures and veining in the natural colours of sand-lime brick, in large formats for walls and floors and with a wave-like, relief-effect wall décor, MERIDA perfectly suits the clear, modern aspects of the new country-house style.

The PIER 45 range is named after the legendary dock of the same name in New York. The striking appearance of the almost archaic-looking concrete finish was projected, with varied colours and worn-effect textures, onto high-quality VilboStone porcelain stoneware. To accompany the large-format basic tiles in three expressive colours, there are décors with a subtle, aged-looking ornamental design along with hexagonal mosaics featuring a six-sided shape with a long tradition in architecture – just the thing for interior designs in the contemporary industrial style.
